James off metallica

Don't you mean Jaymz?

I hate when people refer to him as Jaymz.

I'm not really into Metallica but i'll agree 100% with that. His voice sound awesome when he does it.

People don't like Dave Mustaine because he created something that owned Metallica in just about every single aspect of thrash metal.

it's true

If the answer isn't Maynard(sp?) from Tool or Ozzy, I don't know.

James Hetfield, I love his voice anyway, he's on my top 5 for the voice I would most want for singing. He's probably number 4 or 5.

If I could sing like anyone it'd totally be Mikael Akerfeldt. After him probably Layne Staley or Bruce Dickinson.

James Hetfield sounds like a country music star...

Alexi has pretty much perfected the "Yow!"

The "Yahhhh!" at the beginning of Hybrid Stigmata by Dimmu Borgir is pretty sweet.

****in right! He has the deepest, richest growls, but he can really sing too.

But the answer to the question at hand is Papa Het. I think it was on Metallica's Icon on Mtv where Jim Brewer did impersonations of the band members. He did the yee-aah! spot on.

James Hetfield.
James had the growl in his voice perfected before he ****ed his vocal chords. (And yes, he ruined them - he didn't just "go country")

If anyone's got the Live ****: Binge and Purge box set, the Seattle video from... 88' i think it was, James' voice is ****en perfect:

"Bout time we tell the neighbours Metallica are here.. Gimme a "s hit!" (audience: s hit!), "fu ck", "cu nt"... yo mamma'!"
