I searched and there was no thread on these guys. I find that unacceptable. They're putting out a new album on Equal vison this year. Who likes them? Who's excited for the album. Discuss any Hot Cross or Hot Cross New Jersey scene stuff in here.

Saetia is good, I'm not much on screaming though.
Have you heard the new Hot Cross Demos though. It reminds me of old Thursday which is definately a good thing. Album should be really good.
#5
Naw I haven't heard the demos, I would love to
I'll probably still check out the new album just out the fact
#6
I thought cryonics was pretty decent, but saetia will always be a better band. they just had more strings to their bow.
#8
I love Hot Cross!

We are so many lifetimes away from the one we want to be, take your place and play the part, wear your make-up like a weapon.

Best damn ending to a song methinks.
#9
I love Hot Cross, I can't wait for their new cd. They technically are on Equal Visions but they ate on a EV sub-company called Hope Division. That side thing only has two bands on it as of right now.
#10
I like Hot Cross a bit. They're a lot tighter than Saetia was.

but does anyone listen to Light the Fuse and Run? They did a killer split with Hot Cross back in the day.

The only stuff I ever heard from them was the songs on that split you are talking about.

And Hot Cross is cool. I was a really big fan a year ago, but I've somewhat slowed down in my listening habits. My user title is a song of theirs and I still haven't gotten around to changing it . My favorite song is A Tale for the Ages.

They posted a bulletin on myspace today saying that their cd will not come out in Oct. like expected because they weren't happy with how it turned out so they are re-recording the whole thing and to expect it around Feb. 2007.

Yeah, I've had it for a few days.

I'm glad that Equal Vision didn't shit on their sound.

Overall, as ever, it's not as good as the first EP, but not much is.

I actually like the first EP least out of all the Hot Cross stuff.
#36
Yeah I like the EP the least as well.
I had been waiting for someone to bump this thread, my fake user made this thread lol

but yeah Risk Revival is pretty damn good, total pwnage. I do agree with dougie where the only complaint is that they can be a little samey, which holds true here as well. Also, while it's most noticeable on the songs I had demos for, some of the songs have parts that are very overproduced.
