I am looking into just setting up a basic little studio in my house and am looking for a good program to use for my pc. I am probably more interested in the actual recording aspect of the program than the mixing and am looking to keep the program in a reasonable price range($50-100 or so). Any thoughts or recommendations are greatly appreciated.
www.musiciansfriend.com has all of the recording equipment you should need, and I don't think you'll find something for less than 100 maybe 160 at the minumum. But go check that site . It has everything.
I doubt you'll find anything even remotely decent for that pricerange. Check out Cakewalk Pro if you're not too concerned witht the mixing side of things. It's probably the cheapest software you'll get that doesn't suck. And if anyone reccomends Audacity, don't listen, it's awful at everything. The only reason it's so popular on here is because it's free and there are too many 13 year-olds.
