For that price, it better do some kinky sht. But yeah its a really cool guitar. I would rather have another color tho.
#10
yauh it is pretty pricey......but still its even got the silverburst on the back and the kneck and the headstock.....now thats pretty sweet
#11

I like mastabassist guitar better. I can't stand les pauls that have the pick guards on them, and the color isn't that great either.

In terms of htis thread I agree. In General, Maybe not.

considering it's actually from '68 (if I read that right, which I might not have), I'm suprised it doesn't cost a lot more than 3 grand.

Zakk Wylde.
He's like Elton John but with a guitar, more stylish clothes, and not gay.

I've noticed when people take pics of their guitars and show them off it always looks like guitar porn...

And hey to the guy with the natural colored LP how did you take all the paint off and what kind of bridge is that on there and it looks awesome

I was half expecting the wangcaster when I read this thread title
"The shopowner and his son ... well that's an entirely different story altogether ... I had to beat them to death with their own shoes."

I hate bursts on Les Pauls because they just put color around the fat part of the body and dye the rest black. Looks like crap, IMO.
Hi, I'm Peter
#31
actually it has silverburst on the back, neck, and headstock.......not just the body
#32
Oh well. I just don't think Les Pauls are all that "sexy" per se, and it really doesn't matter how an area most people won't see is painted

the silverburst guitar must have been made out of an ugly stick

this guy wins

You don't argue with tubadude on Washburn-related matters, he flosses with the G string from a set of 0.12's y'know....and it's WOUND!

That's decent, but if you've seen one schecter, you've seen them all.

I'm quite a fan of quilt maple, Austin, and that top is better than any PRS ten-top I've ever seen live.
#38
^ Actually, I think the blemishes in the quilting towards the bottom of the body make it a bit ugly.

The super strat body style, the staggered thru body string layout over a tune-o-matic bridge, solid transparent color over quilt... Can you say Schecter C-1 ripoff? And sorry, I'm not a Washburn afficionado.

Pete: they're flatter than Schecter/LTDs, but I agree they're similar.
