You don't argue with tubadude on Washburn-related matters, he flosses with the G string from a set of 0.12's y'know....and it's WOUND!

+1 for Walk by Pantera, also look into their song "5 Minutes Alone".

Aerials by System of a down. Intro is kinda hard but its good if your just starting to play octaves and palm muting, and i love going mental with the power chords at the end. Realy easy but sounds ace : )

Neither of those are drop D. Walk is D-G-C-F-A-D and and 5 Minutes alone is C#-F#-B-E-G#-C#.

I thought Alice in Chains were in Eb or Drop Db.

Hate to correct you, but Walk and 5 Minutes Alone are both in D, G, C, F, A, D tuned down 1 quarter tone.

But you're right about Alice In Chains, Eb or Drop Db

You know, I had my doubts, I know Dime liked to tune in quarter tones. I was only a quarter out each time though .

metallicafan180, you're wrong.

Aerials is drop C. No More Tears is drop D one half step down. I've been playing Vinnie Moore's 'Meltdown' a lot lately. It's a little tough, but it sounds great once you get it. Go for it.

Lithium by Nirvana...and mostly anything by Nirvana haha. Most of their stuff is Drop D.

No.

Lithium is obviously in standard tuning, and hardly any nirvana stuff isnt standard, and if its not standard its down half a step, there are a couple but rarely is it dropped d, and lithium sounds fucking awful in drop d.

Edit: Freedom by Rage is definetly the easiest/funnest drop d song to play. Headspace by velvet revolver is also good.
