Our bass amp decided to suddenly not work. It doesn't turn on and I've tried it on several outlets. Anybody know either any way to fix it or any good 100-watt amps for $300-$400?

have you checked the fuse and mains cable? if you have no experience with electronics, then ask an electrician or guitartech to look at your amp.... my best bet is the fuse tho...

Hmm...actually I think I'll be better off getting a new amp. It's a 15-watt amp and I'm starting a band with friends.

and no, 300W is not overkill, you'll need it if your guitarist(s) play with 60-120W amps (or less if they're tube) and your drummer bangs heavily on his set like there is no tommorow (like my drummer)...

Yeah. I didn't notice the edit though.

Apparently, Ashdowns aren't available in either Sam Ash or Guitar Center(checked the websites) and my parents are paranoid of the internet, especially ordering from it.
