I'm changing the strings on my Epiphone G400, since I busted my High E. Just wondering what the best gauge would be if I play stuff like punk and modern rock, nothing too heavy.

yeah 10s or 11s but really you have to figure that out for yourself, its whatever you like best, not whatever is best for modern rock really.

Try a lot and a lot of strings.

Take in consideration of these things:
-What brand are you using now?
-How are your current strings working for you?
-Is there any way your string choice could be improved?
-How long are you strings lasting?
-What do strings your favorite artists use?

10's are usually the standard, safe way to go. What I would do is research on what your heroes and guys you want to sound like play, and go from there. Make sure to try as much as possible as well.

Yeah 10's are the standard for all types of rock.

Most everyone in here plays with like 12+...but they probly suck with strings that heavy.
So 10s are a safe bet.
