So I've been starting to get interested in customizing stuff and I was wondering is there like a book or something, that just covers all, or most, of the customizing methods and how to do them and such. I figure it would be alot easier since I could just read stuff off as I'm doing it instead of having to run all the way back to the house to look up my problem on the internet.
Thanx for the time...

Can't think of any customizing books but a guitar building book will give you the info you need plus more. make your own electric guitar by melvyn hiscock is a good book. It covers building, putting together a guitar from parts, electronics, finishing etc.

And I second Melvyn's book, it's by far the best book I've seen on making/modifying electric guitars.. Plus it has funny little sketches in it... That's always a positive.

I have the book and love it, but I really think projectguitar has some great stuff. I am a reader. A cheap reader.

I haven't heard anything great about that book. If he were to get a specialised finishing book "Guitar finishing STEP-BY-STEP" by dan erlewine and don macrostie is a exellent read.

IMO the hiscock book should be required reading for anyone before they ask a building related question, it covers pretty much all questions they could have and it is a great source of info.
