Ok I have only been playing guitar for a couple weeks now. I have only had one lesson. My instructor told me to learn all the notes on the fretboard and learn how to play power chords.

I know this may sound silly but I think I would learn better if I had like worksheets or something of the sort.

Anybody know of an on-line source for worksheets or study guides that would force my brain to learn when my hands needed a break?

I am finding tons of lessons but no "worksheets" like I would get if I was enrolled in like a music school. That's what i am looking for.

Fretboard Warrior for learning the notes. Its a little program that covers your computer screen and theres a fret board, and it dings the note and you gotta say wut it is, and you have a time limit to see how many you can get right or wrong.

But just remember, notes go A A# B C C# D D# E F F# G G#
there is no B# are E#...

But anywayz, no offense to your teacher, where getting to know notes on the fretboard is important, right now its much more important for you to get your fingers use to the fretboard and get them calloused.

but anywayz, as horaz said, theres are plenty of lessons on the site. Also you may want to start learning some scales. Like the minor pentatonic is good for rock and metal solo'ing, but you dont have to worry about solo'ing. But memorizing the scales AND their different positions can be helpful later...
