i think their a pretty sweet deal. They got the Gibson burstbuckers on em, carved top, basically a LP without a finish. If you buy it from musicians friend you get the red one, if you go to guitar center and im assuming you will, they carry the brown one. I liked it, i almost bought it but I ended up going for the Gibson LP studio. And everytime i went to guitar center, they've carried it.

It's basically a Les Paul Studio with a carved mahogany top rather than maple. And it comes with BurstBucker Pros rather than Gibson 49x pickups normally found on the Studio. It's a good guitar. It sounds different than a regular Les Paul since it's all mahogany, but I tend to like that sound.

great guitar, i like the feel of the un-laquered neck. The burstbuckers sound sweet on the bridge, the neck pickup is a little too mellow and not enough definition for me, though i tend to use my tele for neck pickup usage. OVerall a great guitar, its got that nice weight and plays great. I highly recomend it as a great stage guitar.

It's one of the only Gibsons that I like. I definetly prefer the worn brown to the faded cherry though.

I'd say go for it if you like it.

It's okay. Never amazed me, but I may just have not played any great ones.

Try to save your money for a better les paul.

Play it at the center but buy it online, Les pauls are my fav, get one

Well. the reason i wanted to know if guitar center had it was because ive herd that Gibson has some quality control problems. so i didn't wanna order and run the risk of getting a bad one. but im not sure on this.

^Gibson does. I tried one of these up against a Les Paul Standard and a Classic and I honestly preferred this one. The other two weren't very good and must have been "duds" or something.

Also, you can't get the worn brown color online.
