I am going to be getting my first bass this week. I am planning on ordering an SX off Rondomusic because I have heard great things about them. My question is pretty much which model?

It is between a few and here are my options:

http://www.rondomusic.net/vebltd.html: This one looks beautiful and also includes a hardcase along with the bass for only $180 total. This is the one that I am planning on ordering.

http://www.rondomusic.net/sjb62qmdredsb.html: My second choice. This does not include a case and the specs and looks of this seem pretty close to my first choice other than the fact it includes a hardcase.

http://www.rondomusic.net/sb301.html: This is my third choice. It has a more modern styling to it and 2 different pickups. No case included.

Out of these three, which should I buy? Are they all pretty similiar except for the looks and finishes?

I don't know too much about basses, but the one you were thinking of seems to be the best deal. "Limited" production things are either a great buy or a **** one. This one looks like a great buy compared to the others. It looks identical to the second one except it will be a bit nicer and comes with a case.

That is what I as thinking. Personally I love the look of the quilted maple and sunburst and the case is another plus. If I get the others, I am going to have to buy a case anyway.

personally i think the third one would be your best bet. the P and J style pickups each have a different tone, so having them both together gives you a LOT more tonal capability than just the J style pickups (as in the other two). Not coming in a case isnt a big problem, you can get a gig bag for cheap at your local music shop. happy hunting
