Alright, so my band came up with this the first time we actually all were together. Most everyone seems fine with the riffs, (especially after I arranged them into song form) but I think they are too rhythm based. Because we have three guitarists, and one of them a rhythm guitarist so as to free me up to do as I please, I think that this song is just too easy and basic for what I want out of it. So any tips on how to make it better would be great:

well i really blow at reading tabs not in power or pro form(aka organized) but looks to me like yall should pop in some chords and maybe notes above the d string.

Sorry that it is broken up into so many "code" sections, but I couldn't get it to work with just one, as I couldn't scroll down

Yeah that'd probably be a good idea. I'm generally a person who likes to play the very fast low notes, but I'm trying to incorporate more artistic styles of writing into my music. So yeah, I'll actually go ahead and probably rewrite some of it an octave higher with chords in there.

Octave higher notes leading into choruses or other parts of the some add a lot of energy. Also, if there is a solo, try to see what space your guitarist(s) will give you to play something relatively close to what they are, or just something slightly simpler.

Well, the problem is, is that this is what all of us are playing at the moment. So it's like one thick rhythmic beat all the way through. And so both our lead guitarist and rhythm guitarist are playing this (just with the power chords and such), and our noise guitarist hasn't been able to try something with it. So, I guess I'm gonna go write a solo! and hopefully some better riffs. Because I think that it'll be fine to leave this part for the rhythm guitarist, but the rest of us need to spread out.

First off, it is almost impossible to read tabs like this. Especially the rythm you are worried about. Second of all, don't double post, edit them. Third, I think this belongs in the tab section of R&R.

Tell me something; why make the tab out for a five string if you never touch the B string?

Actually, I went ahead and rewrote the second part of the intro, and then I changed the pre-chorus, so as to incorporate the G and B strings...so there is more a technical air to it, haha. Yea, not sure it fit so well, because I just made it a bunch of triads.

Intresting that it is all single notes.

that's pretty true. you should expand and add some chords. with 3 guitarists, at least one of them should do it.

im sure hes going to use chords and octaves, obviosly ive never seen a song use al single notes for a guitar part, other than 'walk' by pantera (for the most part) but thats the easiest and most repetitive song out there anyways (besides dime's solo). obviously its for the bass and i can only hope and assume hed use chords and stuff, but if it sounds good, then thats what they want. but anyhow, could you tell me the tempo so i may write it in guitar pro form, i'd like to listen to it. unless you just record yourself.

Well, unfortunately I don't own a metronome, I've always relied on my natural rhythm which came from many years in orchestra for how it goes. But it is so simple because the verse is supposed to be at near thrash speed. But yeah, I went ahead and changed the second part of the intro so that their was a triad version and I tried to create a pentatonic version as well. Plus the "Pre-Chorus" is also changed a bit (same notes, just different octaves). So, yeah, I'll try to get a metronome as soon as possible.

I like the tabs, but I'm a little confused. Is it ment to be played on a 5-string bass or played in a different tunning than standard and don't use what is normally the high E? Please clear this up. But, besides that I like it.
