hi. i decided to post this here, because im expecting you music theorists to hopefully have some good input..

currently im in a phase where i love playing runs.. i'll post my favorite, but please if you post one, make it kind of unique, not like straight through one position of a scale and ending on the root.. so here's my favorite, it's one of steve vai's run in tender surrender:

E|-----------------------------------12-15p12----------
B|--------------------------10/12h13----------13p12~~--
G|---------------------9h12----------------------------
D|--------------7/9h10---------------------------------
A|---------7h10----------------------------------------
E|--10\7h8---------------------------------------------

that tab is actually one note different from what he actually plays..but he plays a G# which sounds kinda funny and doesnt stay in Em...whatever. so lets see some runs!

Well, if you are just going to see what it is on paper, and not what it really is as music, then anything can be boiled down to what it's called.

First lick in my last post? I only posted once...

So I don't know which one you mean, do you mean the first lick, or the first half of the Greg Howe lick?

Red House by Jimi Hendrix

did you know the major scale on a piano, starting at whatever note (lets say E). you just go straight up the white keys without hitting a black one. and you got the major scale.
