i recorded Like Light to the Flies today. took me a long time too. some parts in the solo are off, like the sweeping at the very end. the drums once again suck, but overall i think its pretty good. the distortion is a bit high, but it sounds so much different playing it through an amp, instead of my comp.. let me know what you think

your tone isnt the best, but theres room for improvement! Your playing was perfect and is pretty close to the original. Turn up the backing track a bit. First Solo was only ok, at the start started off time and the shred is a bit sloppy, but ok overall. Second solo was a bit better still sloppy a bit, but it will come after a while...good job overall and how long have you been playing?

Yea bit to much distortion. Did you try micing the amp instead of running into your computer. This made a world of differnce for me on tone. It actually sounds like what you hear. Aside from that everything sounds really solid! That backtracking for the drums is alittle annoying. but Guitar sounds good and solos sound sweet!
