this song was inspired by William Blake's "The Tyger" from his famous collection Songs of Experience. in case ur not familiar with the poem, it is, in short, about life and how some things were created with such beauty while other things are savage and deadly, yet they must exist as one. i just started writing songs with a band and would really like help on our first few songs. this is the second song i've submitted (my first was under the thread title "A Pirate's Song" in case ur interested. well, enough rambling... here's the song.

"The Tyger"

So wake that immortal eye
And unravel this work of art.
Draw some lines of symmetry (but don?t you forget)
who ? made ? me.

Tyger, Tyger, Tyger,
Frame those eyes of fire.
Tyger, Tyger, Tyger,
Light my life afire.

Deadly spears rain from the sky
And tear the sinews of my heart.
Stars cry from heaven?s blue (nothing to say but)
Who ? made ? you?

Tyger, Tyger, Tyger,
Frame those eyes of fire.
Tyger, Tyger, Tyger,
Light my life afire.

He burns so bright
Now, let the forest blaze.
and in the dark of night
Our lives unmade.

Tyger, Tyger, Tyger,
Frame those eyes of fire.
Tyger, Tyger, Tyger,
Light my life afire.
