I'm not sure of the model you are talking about, but if it's the RG2570, why would you buy that model to change the pups? The only upgrade over the cheaper RG1570 is the Dimarzio IBZ pickups and neck inlays. If you are buying a prestige to change the pups, I would buy one of the lower models that isn't meant to have good pups already.

They would sound good because of the mahogany body. You may have a tough time fitting the battery in the back though.

Speaking of the S series, how is the ZR trem?

quite well i played it but i dont yet own it and i wanted to make sure it would sound good with emg's before i bought it ,but why would the battery be hard to put in?
