What the devil are coil taps? (i assume thats what they stand for cause they're on pickups, it says c'taps :S) But actually are they? What do they do?

a humbucker is two single coils wired together, tapping a humbucker uses a lead connected to the humbucker to change the tone of it with the pull of a switch.

extra tones. full sized sound and a lower output sound. from the same pickup.

dont forget jenny it can also be done on single coil pickups as well

yes u can run a lead from any pickup, i was trying to use a simple example.

to visually imagine a humbucker being split in half.
