Are there any Christian guitar virtuosos out there?

I heard Jason Becker is possibly, but I think he also believes in Hinduism to a certain extent also.

i could care less who they worship if they badass they badass it's music

There are no doubt some who believe that, but I don't know of any guitar virtuosos who play music that would be classified as "Christian". I haven't heard lots of "Christian rock", though, to be honest.

There are probably lots of shredders that are christian, but I can't really think of anyone that promotes christianity. Steve Vai has christian themes in some of his songs, but I wouldn't say that it's promoting christianity.

I know alot! Man, there are some great ones...Bruce Fitzhuge and Jason Truby in the early Living Sacrifice albums, Rocky Gray from the later LS albums and the side band Soul Embraced, as well. Rex Carrol from Whitecross plays hair metal and is also in a band called King James and shreds harder then Van Halen, I think. E. Sarkoja is in a band called Immortal Souls, and he shreds really, reall hard. Carljohan Grimmark, the man behind a powermetal band called Narnia, shreds so hard...he is like Yingve Malsteem or hower you spell it. Sorry, I am terrible at spelling. But he is really fast, and uber, uber technical. Herbie Langhans from Seventh Avenue shreds pretty good too. There are alot more, email me if you want some more info on Christian bands that shredd. Deliverance, Neon Cross, and a bunch of others.

On a side note, here's Paul Gilbert's first ever recordings - guitar on two tracks by Christian ****wit (my opinion, fine if you disagree, tell someone who cares):

After The Storm

and

Jesus Will Reign (Particularly hilarious lyrics in this one)

That is all.

There is a song about the Cricifixion (spelling?) on Yngwie's Unleash The Fury cd. it's got a great riff too.

If Hendrix, Clapton and Page were to jam, the most impressive guitarist playing would be Paul Gilbert.

Crucifixion is spelled as such, but hepzibahbaptist thought it was Crucifiction.

I know Ted Nugent is a Christian, but he's hardly a shredder. Steve Vai might be, I'm not sure, but if he isn't then he sure acts like one.

EDIT: And Ted Nugent's not really the epitome of Christin-ness...

Chris Impellitteri is ur man but actually he didn't get the credit he deserves thats why i want to speard the word bout him cuz people only know him for his speed or as a YNGWIE-rip off , as a matter of fact he is a better songwriter than yngwie , if u check his Impellitteri EP to his last album except Stand In Line (which he himself dislikes) u will know what i'm talkin bout and he got many great christian rock songs like (Kingdom of the light,Answer to the master,Hungry days,Fly away etc...).

its called crown of thorns its a great song

yngwie seems to refer to christianity alot with songs like judas, the seventh sign, crown of thorns, and maybe "in the name of god" but i cant understand a word he says in that song

and steve vai seems pretty christian to me
