Hi. I am interested in buying a new guitar. Ive been playing for about a year and have a Fender Fat Strat ( 379$) and a Crate XT65R Amp (230$). I have about $650 and was wondering if I should go for a new guitar or amp. People in the forums have been telling me I should buy a tube amp first and I dont know what to do. Could you help me out by telling me what I should do?

I play all rock and a little bit of metal.

Tube amp deffo...the pickups drive the tubes in the poweramp mostly, so youll get the best from your pickups and have a better amp! YAYs all round

Definetly the amp.

I've been debating whether to get another guitar or amp, too, but to be honest, my amp is a total piece of ****.

I already love my guitar (a Fender Standard Stratocaster), but my amp (a Fender 15R Frontman) is extremely bad.

I'm looking into different types of Marshalls right now.

My guess (by the name) is 65 watts.

dont skimp on the amp, you WILL regret it. Buying somthing cheap to get 2 things doesnt mean those two things will be as good as that one thing....
