i made a similar thread in eg, but thought this would be a better place to post it.

http://www.zzounds.com/item--IBAJTK2 i love the looks/cheapness of that guitar, but the only thing holding me back is the crappy cutaway and supposedly thick neck. i have baby hands, and what is 'nice and chunky' to normal people is 'i can only reach the high e on this thing' for me.
basically, is it possible for me to change the playability of a guitar without ****in it up? i have no powertools now, but when i go to school in september ill probably have access to some limited woodworking tools. but armed maybe some sandpaper/chisel like thing and time to kill, would it be that hard for me to change the neck profile and cutaway shape? seems like alot of you here have done much harder things (building guitars from scratch) so any tips?
