Ok I'm just wondering if theres any particular height the strings should be away from the frets/neck of the guitar? Well ino they should be far enough so they don't catch the fret but im wondering if it matters or if there should be a specific amount of space.
Thanks

its called the "action" of the string. the higher it is the harder it is to play the left hand part during fast picking parts. but it also gives more room for error while playing both chords and riffs. it really is a matter of personal choice. try out a few different types and see what suits your style of play the best

Traditionally, ppl want as low as possible with minimum fret buzz. But if you still want them in an exact amount in mms, it'll depend on which guitar manufacturer you're talking about.
