What tuning do you use most often besides standrered? I use Half step up with my High-B and High-E strings tuned to C.

I just use drop D. love this tuning for the metal riffs. for one bassicaly all the covers I do are in this tuning. Sevendust, Slipknot, Staind, some Metallica, Seether, Shinedown, Three Days Grace, that kinda stuff.
#13
usually standard EADGBe. but i usually tune a guitar down half a step. i also occasionally will go drop d DADGBe.

Shinedown? Shinedown is hard rock at the most, and love them as I do, there not metal. Neitther is 3DaysGrace...

You don't argue with tubadude on Washburn-related matters, he flosses with the G string from a set of 0.12's y'know....and it's WOUND!

either standard E (E A D G B e), or standard Eb (Eb Ab Db Gb Bb eb -> more often)... i never use drop D and such tunings... actually i hate drop D.

Slipknot don't play drop D. Seether don't play in drop D, at least not on Karma & Effect. I think Staind tune lower than drop D a lot, which is why Mike Mushok has a signature Baritone guitar.

I use Eb mainly, or drop Db.
