i'm not really that well informed of the proper way to practice guitar so if anyone has tips of stuff to work on everyday to become an over all better player or links to things that could help would be great (im kind stuck in the pentatonic scale,so anything to help me get out of that be great to.)
do a search on the columns/lessons/forums, you'll find a lot of stuff around
also to mention im not really a starter i have been playing for like 5 years but i figure im not at where i want to be at creating song wise
Being stuck in the pentatonic scale is called being stuck in the box. The only way to get out of it is to play the whole fretboard. A good way to this is to learn a song that does this even if it is outside your music style. Something like "reelin in the years" by steely dan would be a good song to learn and practice.
