What do you guys think of this new record?

Just as awesome as Pale Folklore and The Mantle but with better production.

Theres alot of Bathory style present which can never go wrong.

discuss!

There was already a thread about the cd a few weeks ago, haha just warning ya in advance in case you get your head ripped off.

I thought the cd was great.. there aren't any songs that I don't like at least. Not Unlike the Waves is my favorite song though, by far. It's brilliant to listen to high.

Scourge441 you don't happen to be in the band Scourge are you?

I currently don't have a band, and sadly, all of musicians around me that are around my age are either not interested in the music I want to play, or not ready to be playing shows and writing songs.

I have a friend who plays guitar and is working his way up, and my brother is learning drums, so I'm planning to get something out of that. I need a keyboardist too, though.

I didn't know there was a band called Scourge. What do they play?

there a local boston band ive played with before

http://www.myspace.com/scourge

they're not terrible

They're from my state too. I'm in Springfield, not Boston, but still cool. Most of the "metal" bands around here are metalcore (although I myself fancy some older Killswitch Engage and The Accacia Strain). Not bad, either. Could be a lot better, but not bad.

Anyway, back to Agalloch. I want Ashes Against the Grain now.

Kicked all kinds of ass, I can't believe it.

They announced a date with Katatonia, Moonspell and Daylight Dies around here in november. It'll kick ass.

Katatonia, Daylight Dies, Moonspell and AGALLOCH?

I love the UK, but hate it at the same time.

Also, there's looooads of Agalloch threads floating about, go find one.

Agalloch kicks my ass...I'm driving down to see the Portland show as well...the tour is making a stop here in Seattle, but without Agalloch...
Don't analyze my beliefs & I won't pick out the flaws in yours

I just heard Agalloch like a few days ago and they are really good. I heard a bunch of songs from The Mantle and Pale Folklore. I really want to see them live now.
