i do believe the classic has classier pick-ups and a slim taper neck, i THINK thats the only difference

no^ the standard can come in both but the classic only comes with the 60's slim-tapered necks but the standard has a figured maple top while the classic doesnt, also the standards have burstbuckers while the classics have 500T and 496R ceramic pups
