Wow, in three words you manage to be wrong in what you say and how you say it.

I love the band, they have interesting riffs (although Watch Out! has fewer) and the three way vocals are nice. Also, they have Dallas, and therefore cannot be bad. Ever.

Can't wait for the new album.

I thin Charlie Sheen vs Henry Rollins is just going to be on the Switcheroo EP thing, unfortunately. That's a kickass song.

I've only heard Boiled Frogs and This Could Be Anywhere in the World, and both are pretty kickass. The latter is a very different sound for them.

Haha I downloaded the new album. Haha, word on the street was that it was ment to be a serious record... Yet, theres a song about setting mailboxes alight. Good old reliable Alexisonfire - Greatest band ever...

You're fairly new to these boards to allow me to enlighten you -

Anything like post hardcore, lesser version of grindcore, metalcore, etc etc... It goes in here. I'm afraid you'll have to endure it if you don't like it. Ahh well

Interesting band - one of the few that got me onto the scene and one of the few mainstream bands of today which are actually quite good - although it does not fit in with the other music I listen to.

Watch Out! is brillant, but I haven't heard the new album yet, or any tracks.

I got the album a few days ago, and it is great.
Can You Fill In The Blanks?

theyve been my favorite band for like 3 years now. ive only heard boiled frogs from theyre new cd so far, but if the rest of the cd is as good as that song ill be in for a great suprise. watch out! was as alright album, but whats really kept me loving them is their self-titled cd. every song on that cd has been my favorite song at one point or another, and ive had that cd since it came out and still dont get sick of listening to it.
hi everybody

Back in the day this was the first band I heard that like totally always screamed, and it amazed me that bands did this...now that's old news and they're kind of boring.

I've had Dallas singing "This city, this city is haunted" stuck in my head on repeat for the best part of a week now. Incredible album, and anyone discounting them as sellouts, emo etc. needs to STFU and read the allmusic.com review.

they've gone downhill since their self titled.

watch out had its moment, but the new record is so tame.

Man, I pretty much hate the new cd so far. I've listened to it through about 2 times and I have to say, it seems like all they knew about being good they just forgot it. Music, lyrics, and vocals are all just boring. I loved both the self-titled and Watch Out! and even the split with Moneen but this is just no good. Mabye it will grow on me but right now it's just making me sad that they have lost all their goodness. The last song on the cd is about the only one worth listening to.
#25
^I disagree

I think that this is their best cd (from what I've heard) but o well

i agree. there first two cds were so much better. hopefully this one will grow on me.
#27
After forcing myself to listen to it all the way through about 5 times, I can enjoy it. It's still the worst cd they have put out but it's better than alot of other stuff out there.
#28
Got watchout! liked it, but for some reason I cannot get an ear for the first CD. Is the new one more like the 2nd or 1st CD?

I think that Alexisonfire, the self titled debut, was the balls of all of their cds. Crisis took some getting used to, but when i kept listening i empty both my nuts. Still there first album takes the cake.
#31
Yeh I just got the cd... Im trying to get used to the completely different style... but its good

i really like alexisonfire, probably my favorite band, the first cd was the best by far, it was also the heaviest, then watchout! was pretty good, more talent, and with the new album i think its the same, the band is more talented now, able to play different styles, and the new one may not be as heavy as i like, but its still a sick album.. i like how wade sings too..

he was in helicon blue before this but they were never really popular, he gained most f his popularity through AOF. he used to do acoustic songs by himself(listen to sam malone, its the song that "where no one knows" evolved from ) but that has changed into a a whole new band, city and colour. haven't really listened to them yet though

Same, they were the first band that I ever heard scream. The second I heard it I was like " THATS AMAZING!!!"

Crisis is such an awesome cd, it sure makes up for Watch Out! which wasn't too great to me, but the self titled and Crisis are awesome.

i want to know if its worth spending the extra cash for it
