Hey guys title syays all..i wanna know why the middle and rythym pickups are vertical and the bridge is at an angle..any help would be great thanx

the pole peices fall under different harmonics and the sound is the way fender decided they liked it

The sound it acheived suited the music that was around at the time of its release, and it was the same as the teles bridge single. And becaues it was around, the sound of music changed around to fit the sounds achived by the slant.

It's so the high E gets more treble and the low E gets more bass. n00bzzz!1!1!eleven!one!oneone!!!

It's to maximize the twang of the higher strings while allowing the low strings to sound clearly.
