what scales should I use for solos in metal, just the entatnic inr and major? or also other ones??

EDIT: pentatonic, my keyboard is acting strange :s

pentatonic, blues scale, natural minor, phrygian, mixolydian, lydian, whatever you feel like man.

I would say mainly use Pentatonic, Major and minor, and the different modes for each one of those scales. That should give you plenty of options to work from.

First learn the pentatonic scale and then learn different modes for each other.

Plus, when you learn, make sure you memorize the notes more than the pattern. Having the notes memorized in your head will help you with soloing and much more.
