Oh, they're tough to master. I can't get them to sound good. I know how to do them, I just can't get them to work for me. The note is fretted, unlike a natural harmonic. You have to grip up, or pinch the pick so when you hit the fretted note, the flesh of the tip of your thumb hits the string as well. There are certain areas between the pick ups where they may sound better: experiment to find them. It may depend on what pick up is activated. You need a lot of distortion and volume, as well.
