I loved my old element. Never tried a fiberlight, well atleast I don't remember them.

SE3KS are nice. Those were my favorite.

I'd have to go Flip. My old Flip board was amazing, and my experiances with Elements aren't ideal.

Not Element. That's the only advice I can give you for those choices.

I never had any problems with my old Shorty's board.

Try a Character. It's a small company based out of Chicago. I have one now. It's better than any Flip I have ridden. And Elements suck, so fuck that.

Element is for posers, Get a Ryan Sheckler Almost Board because they are the best but at the moment cause they have sometihng in them that make them lighter, stronger and better pop fro a longer time and they have like poly 7,8,9 and they are the best boards out right now almosts are.I have one my self and it was the best board I ever bought. And Elements are a waste of money.

I had a Darkstar and found that it went flat, lost its concave, and chipped really quickly.

Alright. I see a lot of different responses so let me explain the pros of a lot of boards. You mentioned Element. They are fairly heavy and don't last that long if you can actually skate. If you are just a beginner and want to fit in with all the other little kids at the skatepark that do nothing but get in the way, get an Element. Flips are really good. They last a fairly long time, have good wood, and are produced by a good distributor. There are a lot of companies that are revolutionizing the skateboard, though. Blind has a new board with 75 vertically laminated plys in between 2 layers of regular Canadian Maple. Almost and enjoi have both started using epoxy bonds, which make the board stronger, but Almost also includes an 8th ply for extra support. If you like to skate big rails, than Darkstar has their new Armor Ply board which has a split veneer in the middle with some kind of thing that makes it really strong. Or you could just get a Zero or Mystery, which are popular among rail skaters. A lot of people also ride Bakers. They have good wood, and people claim have a lot of pop, but pop is actually in the person so don't believe that shit. I also think that Foundation has some kind of super compressed thread fiber superboard thats 22% lighter and 150% stronger than normal boards on the market. But in reality, there are many other board companies out there. Shortys and World Industries have been mentioned, but I find them both to be too heavy and have inferior quality. Alien Workshop and Black Labels are okay. Pig and The Firm shut down, so don't worry about those. Girls are good, or a Chocolate, which is made by the same company. It's all part of the Crailtap thing that includes Royal trucks(which take forever to break in). Plan B's are great. If you don't know about Plan B, it used to be a company back in the early 90's and they put out 3 of the most revolutionary videos ever(questionable, virtual reality, and second hand smoke) but then they later shut down and just recently started back up and have one the most incredible teams out there. There are still a lot of board companies, like Toy Machine, Organika, Birdhouse, Zoo York, and a lot of others. But I'm lazy and I am going to shut up.

If you skate seriously like me (at least 2 hours everyday. Street, real street) then I would definatly get a new one. If you just like to do a kickflip in your driveway every three days it don't matter.

whats all this **** about saying a certain copany is best? thats the most poser **** Ive ever heard, ALL boards are the SAME (other than size), find out which copany has the most broke mother****ers on it and give them your money
#27
Back when I used to skate I had a Flip New Wave, lasted around 8 months of good hard skating until the concave went and the tail and noise started rubbing down.

Zero makes great decks, i liked World Industries decks too but i havent skated in a few years, (pretty much permanently ****ed up my right leg, plus im fearful of breakinf my hand or wrist and not being able to play guitar as well.)

Zero break easy, DarkStar break easy.If you skate like me for all day when you have a chance you want a almost.I can do 360 flips, almost all the grinds, ollie over a picnic table. And do quad kicks and tri heels and beleive me you want a almost. They are the best board.I had almost all the other boards and Almost I like the best.

Did you read any thing about the revolutionary board designs I wrote about. Fuck.

And to the guy above me, lets play skate sometime. If you are for real than you are fucking crazy. And I would assume someone that good would be sponsored. Am I right? But I don't believe you.

truthfully i've found that just buying some random blank deck has been the best way to go. 20 bucks cheaper and chances are your local skateshop has em.

People say so and so has so much pop or whatever. I've been skating for 8 years and I've been through more boards than I can remember, and i can't say i've gotten better due to a board. The ****s in your head, you aren't gonna magically ollie 3 decks higher because your boards lighter.

If you land on a board in the middle the ****s probably gonna break. Land on the bolts your good to go.

But seriously the only difference I've ever noticed is the width of the board. The thinner it is, the easier it flips, the wider well...i guess that ****s not for me.

I've always stuck with a 7.75 and they've done me pretty good.

i just bought an alien workshop, cant skate it yet tho, what do u guys think of them?

Eh, was never a fan of Workshops. Didn't like the feel I guess.

I got on a board yesterday for the first time in over 3 years, lol. I can still kickflip and heelflip consistantly. Lost my 360 flip though.
