I changed my guitar strings yesterday and i noticed a great deal of buzz when i played the open e string (the thick one) i also hear some buzz on the first second a third fret i thought it was the action so i highered the action but i still heard some buzz what should i do to eliminate the damn buzz

if you have put on a smaller guage and it's a plastic nut, it might of slid deeper into the nut making the nut end action lower.

or the neck is too straight, but then the buzzing might be in the middle, it might be over tight, ie the opposite 'bowing'...

Fix the nut it does better then adjust the truss rod, if the neck wasn't straight you would see it. I had this same problem, wanna know what I did, I fixed the nut and now there is no open buzz. That is your solution.
