i have distortion on my crate xt65r, so whats the point of buying a distortion pedal? People have told me i should buy one, why?

Distortion pedals give you a different sound, and you can double up on distortion for boosts or heavier parts.

It's just to beef up your original distortion sound.

It's a good thing to have.. especially when you're playing through a Crate.
