Smells Like Teen Spirit solo is an easy one, actually pretty much all Nirvana songs would be easy to learn

If you can do some power chords, give "smells like teen spirit" a go.

edit: beaten to it :P

any good songs or solos for a beginner/intemediate? preferably rock/hard or bluesy rock

umm im pretty new myself but once i learned these two songs it helped me with playing others

sweet dreams-marlyin manson
crazy train-ozzy

and when your better try:
burn-deep purple
immigrant song-led zepplin

those two song will impress your friends when you can play it would be good to study up on chords

all metallica is easy although might be too tough for a complete beginner ( like ajust started a couple days ago). nirvana will bore the hell out of you probably. if you like bluesy rock like you said try eric clapton or pink floyd. both have very easy solos inthere songs with usually basic chords Ie Wish You were here.

edit: crazy train is harder than immigrant song and burn that one can be very tricky (especially the leads)
