1. buy a new amp now that would be around 350-400 bucks

or

2. save for your first car so its not a piece of crap

? this is my situation

and by the way, what amp in you opinion should i consider if you picked option number 1 for less than 400 bucks for rock, hard rock, classic rock used with an epiphone g400

Save up $150 more and buy a 5150.

No one really needs a car. Once you have one you'll never stop putting money in it (gas, insurance, repair, etc.)
It's a fine line between clever and stupid.

Well the practical side says save for the car. The other side says walk and get the amp. The VOX that you list is a good choice. Lots of options!

my car was only 900 bucks!
crappy primer paint but im pimping that out with band and equipment stickers
