ive not met a good dedicated drumer in tuscaloosa and im thinking of starting a blues band. ive got myself (guitar), and 2 of my buddies (guitar and bass). think we could pull it off with out a drummer?
Depends what you want to play: if you want to play Chicago blues, which, seeing as you've got two guitarists and a bassist, is probably the case, then no, probably not, but why not just jam? If you were playing Delta you'd be fine without a drummer.
Basically like FunkedUp said.

Artists like Robert Johnson just played alone.

Hot Tuna played with only Jack Cassady and Jourma Kaukonen (bass and guitar respectively) on their debut live album.
