I downloaded their album the other night but haven't gotten around to listening to it. My friend keeps telling me how legit they are so yeah.

EDIT: 7/10

Not as good as I had hoped.

Great guitar work, but the jury is still out for me on there overall sound. I'll need to pick up the CD. Very talented though.

Edit: OK, so "Vela, Together We Await the Storm" is the sickness...almost sounds like a MUCH more technical God Forbid.

SoulSeeked the CD. Pretty cool stuff. Duncan always has these random, interesting finds. Not always that enjoyable, but pretty cool to listen to.

Hmm... Without being biased, I can never really enjoy the bands you post martyr. You can easily notice their talent. Good musican, but the music seems boring.

Ya I agree. Its quite good but its seems a little boring.

I like the instruments a lot but I think the vocals are terrible. Sounds like a7x vocals.

I really like the piano intro on Vela, Together We Await The Storm. I would buy the cd for five bucks just for that peice of the song alone.

Not to be a pessimist. But this isn't very good, can't get into it at all.
And I abhor the A7X-esque vocals.
#24
Indeed, they are a great band, I love the sound and work. Though I kinda disagree with the A7X vocals, A7X's vocals are just annoying, the way they sound, to me, THA sound a bit better, imo. I like them .:]

i saw them 2 days ago and they were awesome live their going to be real big sometime

You can download all their tabs from their myspace, I think it's Guitar Pro.

Anyways.. I LOVE the band. They're not a first impression band though, I remember hearing them before they got signed and I thought "eh, nothing special" and went on.. then I heard them later and thought "well it's okay" and just had this urge to download their album. I started to like the album after about... 3 listens. I'm sure a lot more people would like them if they gave the band a chance....or 2 or 3.

Can anyone nail the intro sweeping for Vela, Together We Await The Storm?

Man that 10p5 ...>_>
#32
^haha. its hard but i was able to get it down. just practice.

a lot of their sweeping riffs are pretty basic... mainly just your standard 3 or 5-string patterns, i find their off time rythm parts to be the most challenging
