I need a metal pedal... the metal setting on my multieffects pedal isn't cutting it anymore. I have a 200 watt Randall half stack and a KFK 10 band equilizer. What's the best?

Budget - 150 or so.

the randall doesnt get heavy enough? dayum
well, then id suggest the line 6 uber metal. sounds alright to my ears.

i still dont beleive the randall plus that eq isnt giving you what you want

The Randall head I have is weird... I played it in the store and it sounded heavy as hell... and now it's not enough.

Full gain, and I have the KFK Pedal boosting at 12dB (or maybe its 16)... and it's fuzzy (noisegate can't remove it through the effects loop because the noise comes from the stock distortion on the amp when it's turned past 6).

And it's still weak... even with scooped mids.

It was to i_baked_cookies, I was wondering if the settings he has his amp at could be what's affecting the sound

EDIT: Try taking out the EQ pedal alltogether for a while and work with just the amp. Try putting the gain really high (10 I always find does the trick ) but keeping the channell volume low. Then lower the mids (Around 4 or 5 maybe, don't completely get rid of them) while boosting the treble ( Say 8 or 9 ) and keeping the bass around ( 6 or 7)

The pedals could be affecting your sound so try taking them all out and going just from guitar to amp, then if you get a sound you like put the pedals back one by one adjusting their settings until you're happy

Metal Muff. Best high-gain pedal out there.

Hmmm not bad... I don't want to spend a fortune (like for the Demonizer with tubes, whatever). I want something different, and I want it to have tone, or at least sound different than your stock metal pedals (uber metal, metal zone, etc.). I can always tweak the sounds with my multieffects pedal and my 10 band EQ.

So who else gives props to the Metal Muff... I like the sounds and the price.
