I play Metalcore mostly around the metal side, and I need a tube combo. I have seen the Peavey Valveking, but was wondering if anyone knew of a better, or just as good for a lower price, tube combo? What about Vox? would it suit meytalcore w/ my metal master?

Maybe a Peavey 5150 or 6505 combo?

Ebay is you best bet for both of those.

^What a n00b. Combo's are just as good.

A modelling amp like the Vox typically will sound like crap with pedals.

Well, stacks have one advantage when it comes to metal, in that the tubes are in a separate enclosure to the speakers, ensuring that tubes don't get damaged by the high levels of vibration from the high volumes and heavy bass the speakers will be busting out for a good metal tone.

But I'll agree that that was a very noobish comment.
