Ok, i've begun to notice my line 6 spiderII's crappiness. I've had it for about a year and a half now and I was fine with it. However lately the distortion on it is...for lack of a better word, horrible. Among other problems with it I've decided that I will get a new amp.

I was thinking either a
Peavey Valveking 112
or
Vox AD50VT

I haven't had a chance to try either of these out yet, but from what I hear they're pretty good.

I like to play alot of heavier music. The sounds I really like are RtL Metallica, Atreyu, Van Halen, Poison the Well, Sonata Artica. If you know of any other amps that are better for these kinds of sounds please tell me.

I think you might want to look into a Roland Cube 60. It would be a better amp for those kind of styles.
