ok, here's the prob. i'm a nOOb at pedals and i'm not sure wether to get a distortion pedal or an overdrive pedal. what's the difference between the two? i play metallica, iron maiden etc. which one should i get? and any reccomendations for good pedals under $50? thanks.

get a Boss Overdrive/Distortion. Then you have the best of both worlds.

They are pretty controversial, but I think that would be alot better than a DigiTech Death Metal or a Grunge.
