I'm trying to decide what I should save up for (all three are the same price):

I really like this esp:
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ESP-LTD-EC100QM-Electric-Guitar?sku=516637

But I also saw a thread on StarPower guitars. Its a body with all the hardware and its stripped so you can paint it. IF I went with this should I get the

lp copy(this ones about 20$ more): http://www.starpowerguitars.com/guitar_2.html

or the flying v copy:http://www.starpowerguitars.com/guitar_9.html

With these there is a lot more added cost for the painting/finishing supplies. Plus the esp from mucisians friend almost always has free shipping. So the StarPower guiars would be a lot more really.

input please?

dont get that ****ing LTD since of the wood choice. so starpower would obviously be the wiser choice. and about the guitar shape you choose it aint my guitar :P but really im more of a LP fan so yeh. but dont forget you get what you pay for so its better to get the starpower even if it wil eventually cost more

Ya, I thought the Flying V was a bit out there. But I thought it would look cool with gold hardware (what it comes with) and either white trim and a black body or a white body and a black trim.

If I wanted I could leave the LP woodgrain. It looks finished in the picture. Would that look okay?

I kinda like the esp still. It has good reviews. Its alder with a maple top. I know, I know. But it looks so F***KIN cool! Supposedly it has the best stock pickups ever.

So its down to the ESP or the LP copy...

actually the ESP (well in fact its a LTD but im not gonna worry about if for now) actually has an agathis body with a quilted maple top. and i highly doubt it has the best stock pickups my Eclipse will be arriving with Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and a 59 in the neck and that will supposedly pwn the **** out of the LTD pickups

I just think over all it would be better than the lp. Mostly becuse I've never heard of anyone else with them. Theres a thread about it and no ones got one yet.

yeh well the LTD is actually the 2nd lowest out of all of the LTD and im going by the number system so all 100 are second worst 50 are the worst. you'd be better off paying for something that can replicate the LP tone

Okay, I'll comprimise with myself. I'll save up a little more and get the lp and do either a cherry finish or a cherry/black burst. (drools on keyboard)

hmm.... now I'm wondering how to cover the binding while I do that stuff.

Plus the 34$ shipping and the painting supplies. It would take about 400$ by the time I'm done.
