I wrote these at 4 in the morning (which apparently is more common than i thought)

Decisions on the Beach
I think that I?ve been here before
It looks the same but I?m not sure
If what I saw was only in a dream

The broken windows cannot hide
The memories I have recognized
But some things are not always as they seem

My hand rests on an aging door
I?d tried to open years before
But back then I was way too small to reach

So now the choice is mine to make
To follow through or turn away
And walk back that lonely path along the beach

How are you feelin now x4

I know that I?ve been here before
Its all the same, I walk these floors
To see if what I saw was in a dream

The broken windows try to hide
The things I have not recognized
But it?s too late; they know what I have seen

I?m reaching for an aging door
I?d failed to open year?s before3
But since then I have grown enough to reach

But still the choice is mine to make
My fingers twitch, I hesitate
I?m stuck between decisions on the beach

How am I feeling now?
What is wrong with me and
What If I don?t know how?
To deal with what?s before me
How can I not see
What?s right here before me now?.......

COLOR BLIND
Your eyes portray what?s on your mind,
Yet what becomes of all the blind?
Who cannot seem to show to you?
What they already know is true.

The pupils, dark and shapeless seem,
To overshadow distant dreams,
Until you find you cannot sleep
For fear that you will dream too deep

Do you slip away to darkness?
When that?s something you don?t need?
And try to find a lighter shade,
Or lift he shades so you can see?

And will emotions you can?t find
Dissolve to make you color blind?
When colors all you had before,
The sun went down and then you saw no more.

Blue Snow

Blue snow a December falling
I know you can hear me calling
Take a look at the sky just you and I

White light on a clear blue surface
Tonight I?ll fulfill my purpose
I want you to know since long ago

I?ve often dreamed of the moment
When it seemed I could own it all
But I took the fall and you heard my call
And we knew? we had to see it through

For now I?ll just sit right here
Somehow I will keep you near
When you?re alone I?ll stay on the phone

I see what it means to you
Too weak to just see it through
Keep it inside washed away with the tide

I?ve often dreamed of the moment
When it seemed I could own it all
But I took the fall and you heard my call
And we knew? we had to see it through

So close, we?re almost touching now
I hope, that we can make it last somehow
Although, you said you felt that way
I know, you wanted me to stay

It was a sight I?d never seen before
And on the night I had been waiting for
It was a sight I?d never seen before
Just like blue snow outside of my front door

I?ve often dreamed of the moment
I believed I could own it all
So I took the fall, and I made the call
And you knew? just what we had to do
