I have just started making my own music on drums and guitar. I need a bass in my songs to add some depth and body to the music. I play bass but I do not own a bass. Would it sound alright if i just played the bass lines on my guitar and then bring the guitar track down an octave using a pitch shifter? I was only thinking of using constant fourth notes for the bass line because i realize that it wont sound exactly like a bass and I just want it there to give it a fuller sound. Thanks in advance!

Well try it i mean whats the worst that could happen but imo nothing is better then the real thing so you could borrow someones bass.
