Title says it all... I'm looking for an Interpol sound, and I need a good amp that substitutes this, (obviously for a price that any 15 year old kid could afford, preferably $500-600?)
#2
a traynor ycv40 or a traynor blue, plus it has 2 channels so you dont have to crank the amp to get distortion

Maybe the Fender '65 Delixe Reverb ($800 USD)

That is a REALLY nice amp....wowzer. (and it has fender cleans so you don't have to settle for other brands that try to imitate it)

Oh and another question, I don't want to start a topic just for this little discussion... Does the metal plating over the Humbuckers on a les paul make a difference in sound at all?? Cause I'm thinking of saving up for a $1700 Gibson Les Paul Goddess.
