I like mine. For my last gig (my first gig with my own band), i used my valveking as an amp and used my friends B-52 4x12Cab for it. My amp was less than half volume, and it was ****ing LOUD. I don't front it with any OD or distortion pedals, and i think i get plenty of distortion for decent metal. I'd prefer getting a TS9 for some extra punch however.

I replaced the power tubes with a pair of JJs, which promptly led to more asskicking. Those things sound incredible.

I'd reccommend the VK112. I got mine for $300 off these forums, i THINK. Mighta been $350.

I was just looking at it, I was gonna buy the 212, but i decided its more power than I needed, and I'd rather save the 200 bucks. I'm considering buying the product, I just came in here to see some reviews on it

I'd say get the 212 because it has the damping features on it, which totally change the sound of it.

What are the "damping features", and why is it worth the extra money?

thanks for your help so far.
