So, I play rhytm guitar in our classic rock band and I'd like some tips of how to make my chordprogressions sound better.

As of now, just palm-muting in the same tempo all the time gets rather boring but that's all I know.

Can you please share some tricks that will make my rhytm play stand out a bit more?

Try playing triplets with your power chords, and palm muting all but the middle beat. Or just switch up with ones you palm mute. Be creative.

Also, use interesting chords.

So, you mean like:

The chord I'm gonna play is D#.

Palm-muted it sounds: du
Non-muted: dun

So it'd be with your recommended technique: du dun du

Wow, that sounded complicated but I hope you get the point I am trying to make. ^^
