Hey, I got a gig at a restaurant and I wanted to find some great acoustic songs that you can sing and strum by yourself and it sounds good. Like "wonderwall" or "you're Beautiful"
"The General" by Dispatch is good, lots of stuff by dispatch really. I'm not really into them, but if you like john mayer or jack johnson those work...
Search is indeed a friend to those in your situation. As is the Acoustic guitar forum...

but if you insist on ignorance, you cant go wrong with...

"More than Words" Extreme (not acoustic but could be)
"Tears in Heaven" Eric Clapton
"Neon" John Mayer
"Tears and Rain" James Blunt
"Every Rose Has Its Thorn" Poison (the ultimate power ballad)
"Whiskey Lullaby" Brad Paisley (if your into country)
"Little Wing" Jimi Hendrix (could be played on acoustic)
"More Than a Feeling" Boston (same as Little Wing and More Than Words)
"Hey There Delilah" Plain White T's (chicks seem to love this song)
"Classical Gas" Eric Clapton
"Capricho Arabe" Paco De Lucia (if you got the fingerpicking chops)

thats some i can think of.

You never had a mind of your own, never could resist a single pleasure.
Rain by Breaking Benjamin is good. Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd but performs Acoustically by Shinedown is probably the best
