My guitar has 2 4 conductor humbuckers, 2 500K pots, and 2 500k Push Pull Pots.
When I split the humbuckers, I was wondering, is there a way I can put a resistor into the circuit so that way the split pickup sees a 250 or 300 K pot?
I read something about this on Stewmac.com, but didn't quite understand it.

Also, how does a 1 meg pot sound?

Ermm...
You *can* do something like that.

Why though?

250k to 300k isn't really gonna make a difference.
I'm not very active here on UG currently.
I'm a retired Supermod off to the greener pastures of the real world.

Is that so?
I thought a 250K pot attenuates more of the high frequencies to ground, so it's a bit warmer.

Also, I meant, so the pickup would see a 300K or 250K pot when I split it, instead of a 500K. I want to see if I can keep it in 500K while in humbucker mode, and make it a 250/300K when I split it.
