ok im planning on getting a reasonable recording setup and this is the gear i have selected, is it anygood? if not what else could i get for the same sought of money? i will be recording acoustic guitar, vocals and a little electric guitar.

It looks alright... except for the electric guitar part. I assume you already have an amp... But don't try and record electric guitar with a condenser mic, too sensitive i'd say. They're meant for quieter instruments, like your acoustic and vocals. Get a shure SM57 to go along with that so you can mic your guitar amp.

I'd say yes on everythign except that preamp. I bought one at a local shop, and it sounded horrible. I thought something was wrong with it, so I returned it for another identical, which sounded just as bad. I installed a new tube (just in case that was the problem) and that didn't help it either.

I would say that for a slightly better setup, avoid that preamp, and get Shure SM57 and 58 mics instead of the Rhode (for about the same price). The Rhode is really best suited for vocals.

thats good and yeah you can record a guitar with a condeser mic, youjast have to do at low volume.

recording an amp with the rode works fine. I've done it with one and it sounded good. (just make sure you pad it first )

im talking about a preamp but i think ive just found quite a good studio project one for quite cheap so ill probably just get that.
