Wow. What?

Bullets is the best of the first two albums by some distance. IBYMB.. is one of my favourite records ever.

I can't wait for The Black Parade. The live shows and Welcome To the Black parade have got my very excited about this As much as i do like Three Cheers, i'm so glad the first single doesn't sound like that. While there are a few songs i can still listen to on TCFSR it just didn't have the longlasting appeal for me Bullets still has. I'm really expecting to break away from the label people have applied to them with this album.

I had to watch the video like 10 times to FULLY understand it. The first time I watched it, I was confused and like "what the hell?" but when you've watched it enough, you start going "oh...I get it. That's cool!". For all of you who are confused, this is basically (from what I know) is the meaning of the video:

The main character of this whole rock opera is named the patient. He is dying of some kind of cancer at a very young age and is starting to see things he is also remembering his childhood. He remembers his dad taking him to see a marching band. Anyway, in the music video, he is obviously real sick and is crazy, telling the nurses his story while they wait by his side. He is remembering this childhood event and he kind of like goes back and just remembers that day. In the video, it's like he's re-entering his fantasy only this time, everyone is dead and he is looking for his father who I guess is dead as well. The lead singer of the band believes that when you die, you go back to your greatest memory and goes on from there. If you look closely, during the end, there is this 2 second scene where there all these dead people with a sign that says "Died of hunger from a nation of plenty" or something like that. This can go into so many different ways but I think the band is trying to point out that although this is the richest country in the world, we still have lots of problems internationally (especially now...) That's what I think it means. It can be a lot of things. At the end of the video, the dude walks away and looks for his dad. To be continued until next video or the album release...

They were on 7th avenue drop on fuse (where a band performs songs from an upcoming cd) and I don't even know if I liked some of the songs because it was all a mess. I changed the channel

"The Black Parade" shouldnt that have been a name kept aside for a parade of black people, and i mean the colour of their skin, not their hair and clothes?

The intro to WTTBP sounds very very familiar, it sounds like something i've heard before... I don't know, the whole concept album thing is very strange but hopefully it will be better than 3 cheers.

They performed a live version of "Famous Last Words" from their new album, "The Black Parade." Its really good a worth a listen to, the solo in the song is pretty cool and doesn't sound like their other songs, fans of their first album will be happy with the song, as it sounds sort of like their old stuff. Anyways, the song is posted up on youtube and such.

I think their new song has too much going on all at once and the sudden change in music doesn't really work well. I have never been a fan of their work but I think this is not really a good change for them, but still, I guess all the teenage girls that think they are hot will buy their albums, so either way.
#100
^^ You're saying they've gone commercial?

And I disagree with the whole "teenage girls who think they are hot will buy their albums" thing. If someone's a true MCR fan, they'll stick by them to the bitter end...even if they go completely poppy on us. Which hopefully won't happen.
#101
Their new song sucks ass. I'm not trying to flame anybody, but thats my opinion.

^hes trying too hard to be eccentric with his vocals.

If he didnt try so hard, the song would be good.

Not bad though.
And if ever You come near, I will hold up high a mirror.
Lord, I could never show you anything as beautiful as You.

Haha! MCR failed! The album got leaked already a few hours ago hehe =)

I've just listened to the black parade and I'm kind of dissapointed because it didn't sound anywhere near as good as their previous albums, which I loved, The lyrics are ok but the timing sounds awkward on some the songs with the words, I liked the songs 'This Is How I Dissapear', 'Sleep' and 'Welcome to the Black Parade' the most. I hated the predictable queen-esque guitar solos tho
#112
im not a mcr fan by any means.
but i love what they did with their new song. im yet to hear the rest of the album and probably wont even bother but its definitely the bohemian rhapsody of the 'emo' world. i wouldnt say they ripped it off, they just went for the same type of format and ect. which you may consider ripping it off but whatever. i kinda like the song.
#113
i LOVE the album! i don't know yet if i like it as much as the 2 old ones, i haven't listened to it often enough.
when mcr record a cd, every little thing in it is thought through a million times. i think they are perfectionnists. people would have bought their album even if they hadn't put a week of work into it, but they still did. not every band does that...:/

Yeah it's the only decent album, the lyrics to that album are awesome.
But i do like Helena and I never told you... from three cheers for sweet revenge.

i agree with both of you... ive heard a few new songs, but they just arent MCR... i have to stick with the old...

Yeah, I heard the whole thing from start to finish at Hot Topic. It's so much better than American Idiot. It has to be the best concept cd since The Wall. I'm serious. Check it out at theblackparade.com

I was surprised at how good the new song was. They just have to ditch their ridiculous image.

When I watched the clips on AOL, it said "Dead!" and "House of Wolves" were for mature audiences only and nothing happened! I know these songs are aggressive...like, not very nice but they don't stick their middle fingers in the air screaming the f word. The new cd kicks ***. Reminds me of broadway somehow. Anyone who says otherwise can see me...
